Bowling: A sport?

So, some people consider bowling to be a sport. Or not. I mean, I've even heard my cousins debating about it. I'm not sure if I do. I mean they do have Pro. Bowling, and State bowling. That may be reason enough for it to be an official sport. It is just a leisure activity for some people. I don't know. Although, when my cousins talked about it, I felt the need to defend the bowlers, so, therefore, I guess I do consider it a sport.
